Lock Your Doors: A True Crime Book Club
During 2025, Bloomington Library's True Crime Book Club will meet at 7pm quarterly on February 24, June 23, August 5, and December 15.
The True Crime Book Club is for all fans of true crime – whether you’re devoted or just discovered the genre.
2025 titles to be discussed:
---February 24: "Long Haul: Hunting the Highway Serial Killers" by Frank Figliuzzi
---June 23: "Liliana’s Invincible Summer: A Sister’s Search for Justice" by Cristina Rivera Garza
---August 5: "Reasonable Doubt: A Shocking Story of Lust and Murder in the American Heartland" by Steve Vogel. This book discusses the 1983 murders of Susan Hendricks and her three children -- Rebekah, Grace, and Benjamin -- in Bloomington, Illinois.
---December 15: "League of Lady Poisoners: Illustrated True Stories of Dangerous Women" by Lisa Perrin
Registration for the February, June, and December sessions is only required for online participants and can be completed at bit.ly/bplcrime. There is no need to register for the August session.
In most cases, the club will meet in the library’s Conference Room and online via Zoom. The exception to this will be the August meeting which will take place in person in Community Rooms 1-3 at the library. The August session will also be live streamed on the Bloomington Library YouTube page at bit.ly/blmlibyoutube.
