Play synopses and character descriptions:
Drag / Bar by Domenick Scudera
Synopsis: Aidy Aitchdee, a sassy drag queen, is grilled by
a lawyer in a courtroom. She is being charged with
obscene, inappropriate behavior for reading to children at
a public library as part of a Drag Story Time event.
Tables are turned when Aidy informs the lawyer that
they are both characters in a play and that she can flip
the script in order to make the story more empowering
and inclusive.
Character Breakdown:

End of Life by Vincent Kovar
Synopsis: Far in the future, Albert Forsyth Tusk must
defend not only his own existence but the lives of 400,000
other uploaded consciousnesses living in a power-hungry
metaverse. When an AI tribunal threatens to shut down
humanity's last digital refuge to conserve resources, Tusk
faces a moral reckoning that forces him to confront his
past failures while arguing for the sacred right of
consciousness to exist.

Synopsis: Sally and Simon--who are vaguely familiar--are
asked to explain Sally's grandmother's death, which is
rather straightforward--or is it?

Normal Traffic by Phil Darg
Synopsis: A determined man (who received a citation for
“driving too slowly”) disputes his alleged moving violation
in court.

JUDGE (F, 35-50) – smart and seasoned; fair, but
unwilling to put up with too much nonsense in her
courtroom.
BAILIFF (F, 21-40) – uniformed official of the court; a
bit too expressive/talkative.
DAVID BUCKMAN (M, 35-50) – clever, non-descript,
average-looking adult male.
OFFICER THEROUX (M, 25-40) – non-descript,
average-looking male highway patrol.

Disorder in the Court by MC Crosby
Synopsis: Order, order in the court! Well, I guess there
can’t be when there are zombies, I mean kurus roaming
around outside. Xan has rescued his boss, attorney Babs,
and brought them to the local courthouse to seek shelter
from the undead taking over Bloomington. As they try to
plan their escape, and determine whether or not they
actually can escape, they realize that maybe you can only
live if you have something to live for.

Synopsis: During a sleepless night, a judge is troubled by
the persistence of memory and the limits of his powers.

Synopsis: Justine, a prosecutor, asks for zero bond for a
defendant, who has a “high statistical” likelihood of being
dangerous.

The Indignant Ladies of Towanda by John D. Poling
Synopsis: It is anything but “bottoms up” in this
incredibly true account of the 1858 trial of the indignant
ladies of Towanda who zealously destroyed all the liquor
in the town’s Buena Vista Saloon. Predating temperance
movement icon Carrie Nation and her “hatchetations” by
four decades, some sixty ladies of Towanda risked
reputation, safety, and even imprisonment to destroy the
social ill they believed was infecting their community.
This play tells their story with humor and heart
