Backpack Buddies Sunday

Let's make sure no kid in our community goes hungry on the weekend.

Backpack Buddies Sunday is all about raising the funds to fully support Backpack Buddies and Loaves and Fishes Good Pantry for the year—providing meals for food-insecure kids in our local community.

In Pooler and the surrounding area, about 1 in 7 children faces food insecurity. For many of them, school meals are their most reliable source of food—and weekends can be tough.

That’s where Backpack Buddies steps in. Every week during the school year, they pack and send home bags of food so kids have what they need when school cafeterias aren't an option.

Here’s how you can help:

Attend: For every person in attendance, Gateway will donate $10.

Give: Just $100 provides a month's worth of weekend meals for five kids.

Spread the word: Invite your friends and neighbors to get involved.
