Dog Yoga & Canine Massage Workshop

Learn Canine Massage with your dog! Our 2 hour workshop will begin with an interactive yoga practice for you and your dog, followed by canine massage led by Maureen Connors. She will lead you through series a canine massage techniques, how to best implement them, things to consider with your dog and how canine massage will benefit your dog. Dogs should be social or neutral with people and other dogs for this workshop. Maureen joined us at our first dog-friendly weekend wellness retreat and we are thrilled to have her with us again to share her knowledge.

A little bit about Maureen,

Maureen Connors, BA, MBA, AS, PTA, CCRP, CMFT

Maureen’s career has taken a few different turns throughout the years. Animals have been her life-long passion and she has always aimed to make working with them her career. After working in the corporate world, she went back to school to become a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and also did some work in the fitness field. During her work as a PTA, she discovered that there were practices that did physical rehabilitation with dogs and she jumped at the chance to do that. She became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner through the University of Tennessee and eventually started working full time in the field of canine rehabilitation. Massage as a complement to physical rehabilitation was a natural next step, so she became certified as a Canine Myo-manipulative Functional Therapist. Maureen offers canine massage at events, workshops and sessions one on one basis.
