Your Body and Brain on Trauma

We all experience traumatic events. Dr. Felix Rogers and Dr. Steven Huprich will present an overview of trauma physiology and psychology. Understanding our body’s responses to trauma empowers us to be compassionate toward ourselves and others. Both the brain and body are designed to protect us. Instinctual and defensive responses activate when we feel unsafe, threatened, or overwhelmed. Learn how we understand what happens to our body and brain so we can become a more trauma-informed community.
