Join us for a special evening with artist Jack Ravi, as he shares the story of how he went from a full-time job to building a life shaped by creativity and curiosity.
Jack is a collage and mixed-media artist who works with found materials, especially vintage photographs and discarded ephemera. His work is rooted in the beauty of the forgotten and the broken, and in the power of transforming what’s been cast aside into something meaningful and thoughtful.
Though he’s always been an artist at heart, Jack became a full-time artist in 2020. In 2021, he co-authored the book Artful Memories: How to Create Unique Art with Old Photographs, and began teaching workshops that invite others to explore their own creativity through found materials. Since then, his journey has become an ever-evolving creative adventure, one built on play, community, and the quiet stories held in objects from the past.
This evening is for anyone drawn to making, storytelling, and the quiet magic of materials with a history. Whether you’re an artist, a maker, or simply curious, come and be inspired, and connect with like-minded people who share a love for art and craft.
All this while enjoying a glass of wine, tea, coffee and light refreshments.
This event is part of the It's Braw festival supported by Blairgowrie & Rattray Arts for Wellbeing to showcase the creative talent around our town.
