Discover your local bats - an introduction to the NBMP

Discover Your Local Bats workshop coming to Blair on Sat 24th May! No experience necessary and ideal for learning a bit about bats and how to take part in citizen science surveying and monitoring them in your local area/garden 😀

This free beginner's workshop is an introduction to the National Bat Monitoring Programme, which anyone can take part in and invites you to explore the wonderful world of bats. It covers which bats are in the UK, how they are surveyed, and how you can find these amazing animals in your local area. It will show you how to carry out your first bat count and ways in which you can continue to develop your skills.

Booking is essential but the event is free. Bring your friends! Suitable for older children but they must be accompanied by their parent/guardian. Bat detectors will be provided for practice on. Please note if the weather is bad we may have to reschedule the bat walk to another evening but the workshop will still go ahead.
