On the 18th August we are at Parc Penallta.
From wide-open areas on the plateau to more intimate spaces to the lower part of the site there are hidden gems to discover at Parc Penallta. Sultan the Pit Pony is the iconic feature of the park. He is 200 meters long and 15 metres high. This is one of south wales coal reclamation schemes in recent years.

There are no refreshment stops so take a packed lunch. This is a level 5 on our 1-10 walk difficulty scale.
