We are excited to invite you to participate in Blacktown City Council’s Knit Bomb Project 2025, a powerful initiative aimed at raising awareness about domestic and family violence.
By joining us, you can make a meaningful impact on our community. Your knitted and crocheted creations will be transformed into vibrant displays across Blacktown City, designed to catch attention and spark important conversations about this critical issue.
Whether you’re an experienced crafter or just starting out, your contribution is invaluable. We welcome all skill levels – and all ages – and encourage you to get creative with your designs. We do ask that where possible, 8ply yarn is used for consistency in the displays.
Come along to our monthly yarn-ins where we gather to share stories, enjoy dinner together, and create colourful strips, pom poms and more for the Knit Bomb Project.
RSVP is required for catering and planning purposes.
All are welcome – bring a friend, your yarn, and your community spirit!
Together, we can build a visible wave of support for those impacted by domestic and family violence and send a strong message that our community stands against all forms of abuse.
The Knit Bomb Project is led by the Blacktown City Women’s Advisory Committee, in support of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. It aims to create a visually powerful campaign that makes a public statement and becomes a conversation starter.
