Market Square Jam ~ Indian Run Stringband
In 2010, the band started out as Ginger Wagner's simple idea of a driving old-time band with her favorite fiddler, Paul Herling. With some encouragement and conversation (enhanced greatly by guacamole and nachos), Ginger and Paul got Kristie Dorfler to practice and eventually perform regularly on bass, starting in 2011. Mark Barbour joined the band with his solid, rhythm guitar playing that was captured on the band's first CD in 2013.
Today, Indian Run Stringband members are old-time entertainers in a modern world. Their most recent CD, Panorama Drive, includes guitar backup and breaks from Liam Kelly. The band currently plays at local venues, square dances, benefits, and private events with Tim Thorton helping out on backup rhythm.
From dance tunes to the blues, this band plays with love and abandon, making old-time music fresh and new.
