Jane will discuss her uplifting novel Dear Neighbour , a heart-warming tale of unity, resilience and what it means to stand together in the face of adversity.
About the author
Jane Claire Bradley is an award-winning queer, working-class writer, performer, therapist and educator. She is the author of a fiction chapbook, Truth or Dare (2021), a novel, Dear Neighbour (2023), and the forthcoming chapbook Lost + Found (2024).
She has been published in a long list of anthologies, essay collections and literary journals, and is the winner of a Northern Debut Award from New Writing North. Last year Jane was writer-in-residence with Blackpool Social Club and Queer Amusements .
Dear Neighbour is her debut adult novel.
The Social Lit is a Blackpool-based reading group meeting monthly at Aunty Social’s home on Topping Street.Covering a wide variety of genres and themes we are sure to come across the next book you ‘can’t put down’, whether you’re a nonfiction fanatic or eager for something novel.

The book is available to purchase in store at Aunty Social or online .
Jane will be available to sign books on the night.

Please note that this session is upstairs . Aunty Social are in the process of installing a lift in their building, due to unforeseen delays this is now due to be completed by the end of Summer 2025. The event space is up a single flight of 14 steps then you go around the corner and there are two small steps. Once you’re upstairs there’s a loo. You shouldn’t need to come downstairs for anything until the end of the activity.

-Driving: The closest pay and display car parks are on East Topping St and Talbot Road multi storey. There is also parking at the nearby Sainsbury’s supermarket, please make sure that you check the terms before you use the car park. Free parking is available on most streets around the venue from 6pm, please make sure to check signage before leaving your car.
