Festival of Making Early Years Hub

Early Years hub for the Festival of Making 2025, The Bureau has opened 3 areas of play, create and discover. Open 11am- 5pm both Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July, free drop in activities rolling all day, and cafe with tasty treats!

"Drawing in Space, Space for Drawing". Join Emma, Michiko and the team in The Bureau’s downstairs gallery, to help put the magic back into mark-making. Little ones and their adults are invited to scribble, make marks, print, squeeze squishy stuff, and take their lines for a wiggle in an evolving installation space. Come and play!

Upstairs in the Imaginarium, follow pathways to worlds of exploration and the land of curiosity. NapTime Tales invites young children and their families into tales of dozy dreams, cosy cuddles, and the quirky characters who live amongst the pages of the duvet. Musical mountains will erupt from time to time with a Drummers spiral and Strings Rings and Things that Ping!

Create Wearable Tactile Art creation following examples and by free inspiration. Wearable Art pieces, or Art to play with, to shake rattle and roll! Take home your creations!
