Late Spring In-Field MI Vernal Pool Patrol Training in the Manistee National Forest

This later spring field training will take place in the Manistee National Forest, near Nichols Lake, Bitely, MI.

Participants should have completed the 3 online MI Vernal Pool Patrol training classes. You can still sign up to finish on your own at https://vernal-pool-patrol-mnfi.hub.arcgis.com/ or contact Katie Clark.

Wear weather appropriate clothing. All tools will be provided except for wading footwear. Bring your own water bottle, snacks, bug repellant, and sun screen as desired.

This will involve some moderately difficult walking (on and off trail). Appropriate footwear for forest floor is needed.

Hands-on training provided by Jim Dunn, GVSU retired biology professor and Katie Clark, MI Vernal Pool Patrol of Newaygo Region Coordinator.
