On Thursday, May 15th, Legacy High School Jazz Ensemble I presents the Playin’ For The Pantry Benefit Concert! The concert will begin at 7:30 PM in the Legacy High School Auditorium and will benefit the Legacy High School Pantry.
Playin’ For The Pantry Benefit Concert will be a “best of 2025” concert. The students will be performing a varied program that will feature tunes by Sammy Nestico, John Coltrane, Denis DiBlasio, Pat Methany, and Chick Corea.
The Legacy High School Pantry provides students access to food options that they may not have access to outside of the typical school day. The pantry stocks non-perishable food and personal items that are distributed to students. The Pantry collects and distributes a variety of non-perishable food items such as canned meat (tuna, chicken), Hamburger Helper, canned fruit/veggies, noodles, spaghetti/Alfredo sauce, mac-n-cheese, ramen, cereal, oatmeal, granola bars, juice, instant mashed potatoes, bags of rice, soup, and microwave popcorn. They also collect personal items such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, hand sanitizer, feminine hygiene products, Chapstick, lotion, shaving cream, razors, brushes/combs, and laundry detergent.
Admission for the Playin’ For The Pantry Benefit Concert is a suggested donation of $5 for adults and $3 for students. Free-will donations also being accepted. All proceeds will be used to purchase items for the Legacy High School Pantry.
