Celebrate the holiday season in August with these Christmas themed activities at General Sibley Park and Campground! This event is for registered campers only.
-Awards for “Most Original” and “Best Decorated” campsites:
Celebrate the holiday season in August by decorating your campsite for Christmas. Registered campers will be able to submit their votes on Saturday, Aug. 9, via a digital poll. The poll will close at 8:30 pm on Saturday, Aug. 9. Prizes will be awarded that evening and photos of the winning campsites will be posted on the General Sibley Facebook page.
-Scavenger Hunt:
Welcome scavenger hunters! Are you ready to put your thinking caps on and embark on a thrilling adventure? Stop by the campground office to pick up the scavenger hunt answer sheet and a pen to unscramble the letters for lyrics of festive Christmas tunes. All scavenger hunt locations are found within General Sibley Park.
-Secret Santa Camper Gift Exchange:
To participate, register in person or over the phone at the campground office at 222-1844 by Thursday, Aug. 7. Participants will be assigned a campsite for gift exchange by campground staff on Friday, Aug. 8, and gifts will be delivered by participating campers on Saturday, August 9. Gifts are suggested to be $20 or less.
