‼️3rd Bishops Waltham Guides is on the verge of closing unless more adults can be found to help run and support the sessions. This will have a knock on effect to future guides from all the Meon Valley villages as spaces are so limited in the remaining units.
Could you, or someone you know, join the team to give the Guides a fresh start?
Guiding is totally flexible and units can run weekly, fortnightly, monthly, in the evening or at weekends to fit around families, work and other commitments. It’s not unusual for leaders to bring their own children along to sessions and working as a team means it’s not a barrier if you can’t commit to being at every session.
There are a myriad of ways to get involved which can fit around your skills, commitments, availability and interests.
It’s about empowering girls, giving them new experiences and helping them realise their potential. In return, you’ll meet new friends, take a refreshing break from your every day routine, make a difference and spend time laughing, learning new skills and being inspired by incredible girls and young women.
You do not need to have been involved in Guiding before. The new team will be really well supported by experienced leaders and all training and resources will be provided!! Having a team of 4-6 would give good flexibility.
There are volunteer options in other age ranges as well and support roles such as unit administrators and book keepers.
If you want to know more please pop along on Wed 23rd July from 7.30pm, message
