Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July 2025 (arrive Friday 25th afternoon/evening or Saturday morning)
Spend the weekend camping with your horse while horsemanship instructor Sally Brett coaches you in groups, with a mixture of pole work sessions in the arena and obstacles in the playfield - putting horsemanship principles to purpose.
Pole work in the arena - consisting of a variety of different pole patterns and formations to add purpose to arena exercises and improve rhythm, balance, focus and precision. Sally will adjust exercises to suit each horse and rider.
Obstacles in the grass playfield - consisting of a range of different obstacles to help add purpose and variety to your horsemanship. These can be completed on the ground and/or ridden. Sally will guide you through each obstacle and explain how to complete it to progress your horsemanship and maintain your horse’s confidence.
Arriving afternoon/evening Friday 5pm onwards or Saturday morning ready for 9am start.
Each participant will have a ‘Pole work’ session in the arena in the morning and ‘Obstacles’ session in the playfield in the afternoon, each day. 4 sessions in total over the camp.

Horses have small fenced grass paddock and a stable each. You are responsible for poo picking/mucking out - there is a Stable Fairy service available to do this for you at extra cost. Bedding is wood pellet/miscanthus mix. Please note paddocks are on a slope. Hay is included. Bring extra feed as needed plus water buckets.
Pre-requisites – This is a ridden camp, riding in a group with others. Minimum requirement = happy to ride at ridden walk and trot in arena over poles, and at ridden walk in an enclosed grass field (pole work is based on ridden work, but obstacle sessions in field can all be done both ridden & from the ground).
While horsemanship is at the forefront of this camp, this camp is aimed at putting purpose to ridden exercises, rather than a troubleshooting/problem solving camp. We request that the ridden and groundwork basics are in place to attend this camp. If you are unsure about the suitability, please get in touch with Sally.
The venue has a large all weather arena and also a grass playfield with obstacles. There is a separate camping area for humans, and a separate fenced paddock area for horses. The obstacle field is a 5-10 minute walk (on a private track) from the arena/paddocks/stables and Brandy House Farm is situated on a hill.
Ride out on the fabulous off-road hacking from Brandy House Farm in the evenings or extend your stay to take advantage of the miles of trails - discuss extending your stay with Medina - email
