World Children’s Day – Prehistoric Skills and Technologies
On Saturday 15th November 2025, in celebration of World Children’s Day, Heritage Malta invites families and children to explore the fascinating world of Neolithic and Bronze Age civilizations at Borġ in-Nadur in Birżebbuġa.
Participants will first enjoy a curatorial tour at 09:00, tailored specifically for families. At 10:00, children aged 8–12 can join a special children’s tour.
Throughout the rest of the morning, visitors will have the chance to discover and try their hand at ancient skills: learn how stone tools were made, how wheat was ground into flour, and how pottery was produced. Interactive demonstrations will explore how archaeologists uncover such knowledge, and pose the sobering question: Would you have what it takes to survive in the prehistoric era?
The event is aimed at families and children of all ages and will be held in both Maltese and English. Tickets are available online and at any Heritage Malta museum or site.
Note: Comfortable shoes are recommended and the student passport does not apply for free entry.
