About this Event

Youth Conservation Café: An Introduction to Urban Conservation

Join us at our secret urban oasis, Centre of the Earth, for the very first Youth Conservation Café– a day designed to empower young people as co-designers of local, nature-based solutions in Birmingham and the Black Country.

This event is the introductory session of our new Youth Pathway programme, a monthly group that will meet at three Wildlife Trust sites in Birmingham, on a rotating basis, (Centre of the Earth, Ecopark, and Moseley Bog) to learn, volunteer, and take action for urban nature. We aim to run this on the last weekend of every month (excluding December).

Together, we’ll explore what urban conservation means today, gain hands-on experience with local wildlife, and build the skills and confidence needed to shape a greener, more resilient future.

These sessions are for everyone; from those who just love a nature walk to early career environmentalists- No experience needed. Just curiosity, ideas, and a love for your community.

Importantly these workshops have also been designed and will be led by our young staff members.
