About the event

The Heirloom Society: Managing a Native Plant Garden
Join us Saturday, September 6th to learn about designing and maintaining your own native plant garden. Master Gardener, Larry Stephens brings his experience of 11 years as a volunteer in the native plant areas of the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and the last 3 years restoring and expanding a native plant garden in Red Mountain Park. Attendees will learn how Larry maintained these areas and be able to use techniques described to design and manage their own native garden.

The Heirloom Society is a garden club hosted by the BPL Archives Dept that meets monthly and incorporates archival materials when possible. All events are free and all skill levels are welcome.
