Sara Wilander and Melissa Morris Piano Duet Recital - Carnival of the Animals...and more!

Sara and Melissa are looking forward to their recital that celebrates fabulous piano duet repertoire!

Sara and Melissa, both alumni of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire have been great friends for many years. Having played alongside one another supporting the musical life of the West Midlands for decades and enjoying playing 4 hand piano works for Birmingham choirs, we are excited to finally bring you our own duet recital! We love this repertoire, it is so often overlooked but it contains both beautiful and challenging pieces and what's more, it is so much fun! :)

Our recital is family friendly and will feature The Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saëns. We would love you to join us on this entertaining journey through the humorous worlds of animals from the Royal March of the Lion to Wild Donkeys and even Pianists!

There will be other fun pieces in store too with dances and we might even journey to The Planets!


The concert is a "Pay What You Feel" event as we wish to make this musical experience accessible for everyone. Donations can be given in cash or by card on the door.

Any donations will be put towards funding and fulfilling our dream of playing this fantastic piece, Carnival of the Animals with a chamber orchestra at St Francis Church, Bournville in the future.

Any donations are greatly received and mean we can look forward to seeing you at the next concert with orchestra!

The recital will last approximately 50 minutes with no interval.
