🚌 By Bus Or By Boat 🛶
From Birmingham to Virginia, Katie and Aaron join musical forces with a plethora of interests and instruments to hand.
Katie is a regular on the Brum music scene, you may have seen her with Destroyers, Bonfire Radicals or out on her bike cycling through Balsall Heath!
She specialises in traditional woodwinds; first and foremost the clarinet but you might also see her playing Arabic sax, Bulgarian kaval, Irish flute or even a bit of a dabble on the Northumbrian pipes!
Aaron is a flute maker who enjoys the variety that life affords him, spending some of his year in the fair city of Birmingham and the rest in the woods of Virginia USA. He grew up surrounded by Irish music and quickly got on with playing it on the fiddle and flute.
He later immersed himself in the Appalachian music he heard closer to home and the trad jazz he learned on frequent trips to New Orleans.
More recently he’s acquired a set of Uileann bagpipes too! Who knows what might come next!
