Moseley Hive Hexagon Project
Last year, we were fortunate to receive generous Cohesion Funding from Birmingham City Council. One of the projects made possible by this support is the Moseley Hive Hexagon Project.
Debuting on Wednesday 20th August, the Moseley Hive Hexagon Project is a co-curated community artwork celebrating strength, unity, and diversity. Inspired by the hexagon—the strongest shape in nature—we wanted to create something that reflects the idea that our community is at its best when we come together and embrace what makes us different. We may have things that set us apart, but together, we are stronger.
The initial hexagon designs were created by four talented local artists: Jane Takoordin, Natasha Taheem, Jenny Lundmark, and another artist who wishes to remain anonymous. These designs were reproduced and shared with local schools and community groups to decorate and make their own.
