This December, the Langsford Men’s Chorus returns to the Metro Detroit stage with a concert that is more than music it is a homecoming. With a repertoire that balances sacred, secular, and contemporary selections, the ensemble invites audiences into a season of hope, longing, and joy. From the haunting beauty of Elaine Hagenberg’s “O Come Emmanuel” to the tender ache of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” each piece is chosen to resonate deeply with families navigating distance, memory, and reunion.
Founded in 1999 to honor Dr. Harry M. Langsford’s legacy of vocal excellence, the chorus has grown into a world class ensemble of 35 to 40 men, united by a brotherhood of song and a commitment to artistry. Their holiday performances are a cherished tradition, ending with “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “Jesus What a Wonderful Child,” and inviting the audience to join in carols that echo across generations.
This year marks the 26th annual Christmas concert, titled I'll Be Home For Christmas. Join the Langsford Men’s Chorus for an unforgettable afternoon of music and meaning:
