Join us for an empowering morning with Carolyn McKinstry, author of While the World Watched - her gripping firsthand account of growing up in the Jim Crow South, surviving the violence of segregation, and bearing witness to the pivotal struggles and triumphs of the Civil Rights Movement.

On September 15, 1963, a bomb planted by the Ku Klux Klan tore through Birmingham’s 16th Street Baptist Church. Fourteen-year-old Carolyn Maull McKinstry had just left the restroom where four of her friends were killed. That moment changed her life—and history—forever.
