Indulge yourself and join us in an evening of two of the Greatest Divas of modern times with a full band and the incredible vocal talents of Elle-J Walters, celebrating the music of the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll” Tina Turner and the “Queen of Disco” Donna Summer!
This Show traces the phenomenal performer that was Tina Turner from the early days of her career with Ike Turner, including such hits as “River Deep – Mountain High”, “Proud Mary”, and “Nutbush City Limits”, through to her multi-platinum selling album “Private Dancer”, and beyond. Expect renditions of the likes of “What’s Love Got to Do with It”, “Better Be Good to Me”, “We Don’t Need Another Hero”, “Typical Male”, “The Best”, and “GoldenEye”. What a performer she was!
Donna Summer sold over 100 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time, and collaboration with Giorgio Moroder in such disco classics as “Love to Love You Baby” and “I Feel Love”, was the key to her international success. Donna’s 32 Chart hits include “Last Dance”, “MacArthur Park”, “Heaven Knows”, “Hot Stuff”, “Bad Girls”, “Dim All the Lights”, “No More Tears” (with Barbra Streisand), and “This Time I Know It’s for Real”.
Elle-J Walters has been touring relentlessly with the hit musical “Lost In Music” and it is a pleasure to have her with her own band here at the Jam House – you really are in for a treat!
DJ Pete Sherriff is compère for the night, playing a mix of tracks and videos, old & new, then introducing the live music performances from 9pm with the resident boogie-woogie piano support followed by the Queens of Rock ‘n’ Roll & Disco straight after!
