The Toxic Avenger

We are grotesquely excited to announce that we will be playing a special ONE NIGHT screening of Macon Blair's highly anticipated remake of the cult-horror-comedy classic, THE TOXIC AVENGER, at Art House Cinema and Pub as next month's film in our LATE NIGHT series, screening Saturday, September 13th!
A visionary blast of viscera and violence, THE TOXIC AVENGER is an obscenely fun love letter to the gross-out charm of lowbrow splatter films and the no-budget genius of Troma! Putting the 'sick' in 'classick,' the modernized take on Toxie is nothing but fun and is certain to be a blast for anyone with a sense of adventure, a sense of humor, and a strong stomach!
Downtrodden Winston Gooze exists in a slump and worries his son will view him as a pathetic man incapable of doing something meaningful. But that all soon changes when a horrible toxic waste accident transforms Winston into a mutated hero dubbed THE TOXIC AVENGER! Armed with a glowing mop, super-human strength, and an urge to clean up crime, Toxie must race against time to save his son from the power-hungry tyrant Garbinger who seeks to use his toxic super powers to fuel his polluted empire!
