Mountain Empire Community College (MECC) is honored to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of our esteemed Nursing Program. Since its founding, this program has been a beacon of knowledge, dedication, and compassion—equipping generations of nurses with the skills and heart to serve their communities.

On Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., in the Goodloe Center at MECC we invite alumni, faculty, students, and community members to join us in commemorating this milestone. The evening will feature an inspiring keynote address by Barb Bancroft; a renowned educator and speaker whose expertise and insight continue to shape the future of healthcare.

Over the past five decades, our nursing graduates have become pillars of strength in hospitals, clinics, and beyond, providing quality care with unwavering dedication.
