About the event

Westward Ho!, Northam and Appledore. Pubs & Beach Inc.
This walk is a moderate 11 miles and being led by Jamie.

"Nice 11 mile walk exploring Westward Ho!, Northam and Appledore with a mixture of coast path, beach walking and pavements making the walk a fairly comfortable moderate.

We will explore my old home village of Northam with a visit to bone hill and the church for those who want take a look. We will then head to the river Torridge and follow it through to Appledore where a pint, pasty and the obligatory Hockings icecream can be purchased. Finally, we will walk past the Skern and Northam Burrows to reach Westward Ho! beach for a stroll/swim/game of rounders maybe..

Parking is at the Seafield Car Park in Westward Ho! which is free.

Walk will be starting at 10.30.

(Car park is about 10 mins from the beach if anyone wants to bring a body board for after the walk)."
