The VTCT Level 4 Award in the Internal
Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice is a practical based qualification intended for those who maintain the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.
Also referred to as the IQA or verifiers qualification, & formerly known as V1 qualification
This qualification is completed through the exam board - The VTCT (Vocational training and charitable trust); and is Ofqual regulated.
Pre-requisite / Entry level:
We recommend you already hold a level 3 assessors qualification
Course format:
3 online classroom days via video call (ALL dates must be attended) + online course modules with assignments
+ assessment day held at our Bideford, Devon venue (dates tbc)

Unit UV40565 - Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of
assessment
Unit UV40575 - Internally assure the quality of assessment
Duration:
GLH (Guided Learning Hours): 90. (GLH incl’s. practical, coursework, case studies, assessments, research/reading)
Home study (Coursework): This is completed in your own time

Case Studies:
Evidence must come from your internal quality assurance performance in the work environment. There must be evidence of you monitoring a minimum of two assessors, each with a minimum of two learners of thier own, through components of a qualification. A minimum of one assessment must be observed.

Career potential:
Internal quality assurer (verifier / IQA) for vocational qualifications - employed or self-employed, working in a further education college, school or private training centre.
