Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977)

The Drexel presents “Starring Diane Keaton," a program celebrating the life of the legendary actress every Monday this January with three of her most beloved movies and a little-seen dark drama.

LOOKING FOR MR. GOODBAR: This eerie 1977 drama from Richard Brooks features Keaton as a sensitive ASL teacher who begins leading a double life as she prowls smoky bars for easy flings, drugs, and dark thrills. The further she ventures into the neon-soaked nighttime, the more she comes to love the danger and violence her new lovers bring into her life. Keaton co-stars with Tuesday Weld (who received an Oscar nom for her role), William Atherton, Richard Kiley, Priscilla Pointer, and early appearances from Richard Gere and Tom Berenger.
