Spin Cycle is your opportunity to be involved in a longform improvised music performance.
For this 2nd edition we’re excited to return to the Three Legs Brewery Taproom in Bexhill-on-Sea, a lovely space that is perfect for an afternoon of improvised music, accompanied by Sonics DJs and delicious refreshments!

We have 24 randomly allocated 15 minute slots available for anyone who has an interest in the styles of music Sonics has presented since 2015. Please have a look at the video with this post for an idea of the session…
All experience levels are welcome with priority access being given to those applying from under-represented groups within the local scene.
Sonics team members will be on hand to facilitate and support the session.
Please note:
We cannot pay a fee or expenses for taking part in this event.
There is NO equipment, amplification or PA supplied. Bring all that you need & be ready to go.
Keep it simple. Bring ONE instrument or object to play only – this could be voice, guitar, phone, percussion, found object…anything!
SMALL amps/speakers only. You need to bring all power leads, cables, connectors you require.
The aim is for the performance to primarily be acoustic, the players and sound to be part of the environment, not drown it out.
Take it slow, it’s a long form piece. Look, listen, then join in.
Make room, don’t barge in, or drown out your fellow players.
Find your sound and hold your sound. Explore one idea for a while.
