💈Mrs. Lovett (Mezzo-Soprano/Alto) Playing age: 35-60
Practical, witty, amoral. She is an opportunist, business woman, and interested… in many ways, in Todd.
💈Anthony Hope (Tenor) Playing age: 18-30
A hopeful and romantic young sailor.
💈Johanna Barker (Soprano) Playing age: 16-25
Sweeney’s lost daughter. Innocent but becoming aware that there is a world outside the confinements of the Judge’s House.
💈Judge Turpin (Bass/Baritone) Playing age: 45-65
Corrupt and powerful in his class status- possessive and obsessive with control and ‘owning’ Johanna.
💈The Beadle Bamford (Tenor/Baritone) Playing age: 30-60
Judge Turpin’s right-hand man; observant, a servant role to the Judge craving power and sycophantic.
💈Beggar Woman/Lucy Barker (Soprano) Playing age: 35-55
A mysterious, mad street beggar; tragic figure.
💈Jonas Fogg (Baritone/Tenor) Playing age: 30-60
The sinister owner of Fogg’s Asylum. Smarmy, business-minded, and callously cruel toward the inmates. A small but memorable role requiring strong character acting.

Citizens of London, pie shop customers, inmates, policemen, lunatics — very active and featured throughout. Your roles in the ensemble are so important- creating out world of down trodden street scenes in LONDON
