BHS Talk: Rock Art in Southern Colorado

Doors open at 6:30, intro at 6:50 and talk begins at 7pm! Having spent her career as a science teacher, and volunteering for the US Forest Service, BLM and Parks Service for the past 50 years, Anne Whitfield has done project and seasonal work for professional archaeologists, and sits as President of the Colorado Rock Art Association. Anne summarized her recent work. “For the last few years, I have partnered in the coordination of survey work on a huge rock art site on private land in eastern Colorado. We have had the excellent help of some 30+ volunteers, members of Pueblo Archa­eological and Historical Society. This rock art site consists of 25 panels along a one-quarter mile long canyon wall. Some of the survey results are featured in this program!”
