Join us for an inspiring day dedicated to sculpture, surrounded by the picturesque landscapes of the Franche-Comté region (distance Besancon approx. 40 km, Basel approx. 200 km). This special program includes a visit to one of France’s most unique sculpture parks, exclusive artists encounter, and time for informal exchange.
Program:
11:30 Welcome at the Château in Malans
We’ll start the day with a warm welcome in the park of the historic castle.
12:00 Guided tour of the Sculpture Park
We will explore the poetic and expansive Parc de Sculptures together with Dorothea Malär, founder of the park, and Karl Chilcott, Swedish artist, who is currently on-site restoring one of his works exhibited in the park.
Spanning approximately 10 hectares, this open-air museum showcases over a hundred sculptures and installations by artists from across Europe ranging from figurative to abstract pieces, crafted from various materials.
15:00 Light refreshments/snack
A small snack and drinks will be offered between the tour and the studio visit.
Please note: No lunch is provided – feel free to bring your own small meal.
15:30 Visit to the studio of Denis Perez
We will visit the nearby studio of French sculptor Denis Pérez, gaining insight into his working process and artistic approach.

18:00 Walk in Pesmes and opening of V'ile Art
We will end the day in the historic village of Pesmes, exploring the V'ile Art a public sculpture trail in the old town featuring 5 international artists which will open its new edition on this day.
19:30 Optional dinner in Pesmes
Those who wish may join an informal dinner (not organized, at your own expense).
