He has released 14 albums as a leader for the SmallWorld, Muse, Highnote, J Curve, Mel Bay, and Random Act labels and has appeared on dozensof recordings with other top recording artists. He is one of the most visible independant artistsin the wold today with many videos and audio recordings on YouTube and other social mediaplatforms. He has traveled the world playing at venues on 5 different continents and over 50countries which include Carnagie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, The Tokyo Jazz Festival inJapan and countless others.In addition to his solo career, Randy has toured and played with some of the most acclaimedartists in jazz and rock, including Lionel Hampton, Houston Person and Etta Jones, Lonnie Smith,and Joey DeFrancesco, and The Allman Brothers Band. He played for 18 years as a regularmember of the Lou Donaldson Quartet.Randy's current group is a tightly knit and like minded unit featuring some of the most brilliantmusicians on the East Coast of the United States. In addition, he is a solo performer in highdemand at a wide variety of venues which specialize in music from Jazz to Rock, from Countryto Folk. His live performances are extremely creative and feature very distictive versions ofsongs selected from the Jazz ,Classic Rock, Blues, and Folk idioms.Randy is an accomplished composer and producer, having written over 50 songs andinstrumental compositions which have been recorded by both his group and by several othermusicians in different styles. Randy has produced over a dozen albums for 6 record labelsincluding Columbia.Randy has also taught music at New York University, the Hartt School of Music in HartfordConnecticut, the University of Miami in Coral Gables Florida, and several other major Americanuniversities of note, in addition to conducting master classes in such diverse locations as WalesUK and Helsinki Finland.
