Helen Charlston & Sholto Kynoch: Notes of Old

A mid-week delight in the beautiful location of the Picture Gallery at Paxton House, with mezzo soprano, Helen Charlston and pianist, Sholto Kynoch. Their beautiful programme weaves together music from across the centuries, juxtaposing works from the Baroque with Romantic and contemporary songs. Programme includes:
Schubert: Die Mutter Erde
JS Bach: Wiederstehe docs her Sünde
Ravel: Ballade de la Reine morte d'aimer
Robert Schumann: Kerner Lieder, Op.35
and songs by Monteverdi, Hahn, Mompou, and Anna Semple.
