From the Outback to the Tweed!
Ben Catley returns to Berwick, bringing his powerful solo acoustic show to The Barrels on Saturday August 23rd.
With mesmerising acoustic guitar playing and an ecstatic stage presence, he pours every ounce of his soul into his live show. Having toured all across Australia, New Zealand and the UK many times over, he captivates audiences like few other solo artists.
Ben heads back for his 6th UK tour after recently performing at Australia’s famous BLUESFEST Byron Bay - featuring iconic acts such as Crowded House, Toto, Rag’n’Bone Man and many more.
You may have caught Ben’s performances the past two years at the Berwick Food & Beer Festival - while also in the UK he has appeared at festivals such as Bestival, Green Man Festival, Camper Calling, Shambala, The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival, Boomtown and Lindisfarne Festival.
He has also released tracks featuring the voice of Wim Hof, supported USA blues royalty Walter Trout, featured on BBC Radio, and has had his music licensed for a worldwide Ford campaign.
His live show has become renowned for his over-the-neck style guitar playing, blistering riffs, delicate finger-tapping and ‘singing-into-the-guitar’. With flavours of blues/roots/rock/folk, Ben weaves between both atmospheric soundscapes and huge upbeat energy, creating a diverse show of guitar craftsmanship.
