The 21st Annual Watermelon Pickers' Fest

Notes for ticket buyers.

If you plan to camp with your vehicle, you'll need either a Large Vehicle Camping Pass or a Car Camping Pass, depending on your vehicle type. Every vehicle entering the event camping area must have a Camping Pass, but only one is required per vehicle.

If you prefer not to camp with your vehicle, free parking is available in the Day Parking Lot. You can park there and set up a tent in the event camping area as long as you have a 3-Day Weekend General Admission or a Single Day pass. Mega Melon Backstage Pass holders and those with Premium Electric Sites receive Vehicle Camping Passes automatically.

Wednesday Early Arrival tickets are sold per person, not per vehicle. Anyone arriving on Wednesday must have both a Wednesday Early Arrival ticket and a 3-Day Weekend General Admission pass. If you're camping with a vehicle, you'll also need a Vehicle Camping Pass.

Mark your calendars! The Watermelon Pickers’ Fest is back as a full 3-day festival, running from September 4-7, 2025, at the Clarke County Ruritan Fairgrounds in Berryville, VA.

This beloved gathering of bluegrass, country, and Americana music has grown into a tight-knit community, drawing up to 3,000 guests each year. More than just a festival, it’s a family tradition. “We have a whole family that comes here every year to put on this festival,” says Frazer Watkins. “It’s special, and we couldn’t do all this without them.”

Beyond the music, the festival features picking contests, workshops, craft and food vendors, and activities for kids—ensuring there’s something for everyone.

In 2025, SRSM Productions, LLC will take the reins in producing the festival, giving Shepherds Ford Productions a well-earned break.
