Sunset Union Canal Tour

This unique guided tour takes you on a tranquil stretch of the Upper Tulpehocken Creek, a scenic waterway that once carried canal boats as part of the historic Union Canal. Now, you'll glide over its calm waters on paddleboard or kayak, tracing a route that’s equal parts natural beauty and living history.

Along the way, we’ll point out remnants of the 1800s canal system, including old locks and towpath structures, while enjoying the peaceful sounds of birdsong, paddles in the water, and the wind in the trees. This is a rare opportunity to paddle where mules once pulled boats and nature has reclaimed the path.
