Itinerary/Details as follows:
This Saturday August 30, 2025!!
11:00AM - meet up at Honey Creek/The Drunken Rooster Bar & Grill On The Water for social hour!
12:00PM - leave Honey Creek! Steve & Tow Boat USA will be serving as our pace boat! When he flashes his lights, it’ll be go time!! �
From Honey Creek, we will run SAFELY to the dam! For those who do not wish to run all the way to the dam, you are welcome to pull off at Drowning Creek where you will find Hi-Lift Marina, the home of Cigarette Midwest in Fox Hollow!! �
For those who do run to the dam, once we are there we will have a quick engine cool down / regathering and then we will head from there to Hi-Lift Marina!
While at Hi-Lift, the Taqueria Monterrey on Grand Lake will be set up to sell pizza, wings & tamales!! � You will have a bit of time to get registered if you weren’t able to ahead of time or while at Honey Creek. Once we close registration, we will begin drawing for prizes!!!!
As we wrap things up at Hi-Lift, everyone will be free to go as they please. Any & everyone is welcome to head to Woodard where we will tie up & hang out for the remainder of the afternoon!!
Please remember these points:
•This isn’t anything new, however, if you are assisted by any of the dock help while at Hi-Lift, please make sure you take care of them. This is a free event & the Goldner family has been gracious enough to open their place of business up for us to gather and we want to take care of those who take care of us!
•SAFETY. SAFETY. SAFETY. I take personal pride in the fact that the majority of Grand Lakers are smart on the water & follow boat etiquette. However, this will be Labor Day weekend and naturally, there could be a lot of other people out. A good majority of the boats running with us will be high speed performance boats so, we need to be extra mindful of the fact that we are not the only ones on the water, performance boats do seem scary to other boaters who aren’t familiar with them and if you’re on the boat, your eyes should be helping watch the surroundings. �
•Lastly, this is a FREE event; a FUN RUN!!! We have over $2500 in prizes & giveaways thanks to all of our great sponsors!! Let’s close out the summer with a bang & have some fun!!! �
One more thing, GLOC Powerboat Club will be making a charitable donation to local Grand Lake Veterans!! Additional donations will be added to that. Anyone who would like to donate is welcome to but you are not required or obligated to do so. Cash, check or Venmo welcome!! �����
