CEDH SHOWDOWN V – HIGH-STAKES COMPETITION!
The Bearded Dragon is proud to partner once again with our friend DJ to present the fifth chapter of our high-stakes CEDH Showdown—where the most competitive Commander decks come to clash for glory and prizes!
Unlimited playtest cards are allowed, so get ready to sleeve up your most powerful deck and battle through intense four-player pods. Only one champion will rise to claim victory!
Event Details:
Date: Sunday, August 24th
Time: 11 AM
Location: The Bearded Dragon (123 Claremont Road, Bernardsville, NJ 07924)
Entry Fee: $50
Format: CEDH with unlimited playtest cards
Structure: 4 Swiss rounds of pod play, cut to Top 10
Competitive Rules Enforcement
HARD CAP of 44 players
Tournament Structure:
Players will compete in four-player pods each round, earning points based on performance:
Win: 5 points
Draw: 1 point
Loss: 0 points
After four Swiss rounds, the Top 10 players will advance:
1st & 2nd place in standings go straight to the Finals Pod
The remaining eight players will compete in two playoff pods
The winner of each playoff pod joins the top two players in the Final Pod to determine the champion
Prizes:
1st Place: $400 Store Credit
2nd–4th Place: $200 Store Credit
5th–10th Place: $80 Store Credit
Decklist Submission & Playtest Rules:
Decklists are required and must be submitted on Topdeck.GG. Registered players will receive an email with a submission guide the week of the event.
All players must have a Topdeck.GG account before the event. Create one at www.topdeck.gg.
Allowed Playtest Cards:
Gold-bordered cards
Blank checklist/world championship cards
Non-foil basic lands (Plains preferred) with all relevant card text clearly written
All playtest cards must have authentic Magic: The Gathering backs
Counterfeit or non-genuine Magic cards are strictly prohibited. If unsure, our judge will inspect cards before the event begins.
