Join us for a unique hiking and dining experience at Whitewater Canyon on the evening of Saturday, September 13th.
Together we will enjoy a 1.5 mile loop around the park with stops along the way to enjoy drinks and dishes made from locally grown and foraged ingredients.

The Wild Harvest Dinner is a curated experience that invites us to connect with the natural world, the land and food around us, in a fun and communal way.
Staff from DCC will guide us around the trails and caves of the breathtaking Whitewater Canyon Wildlife Area, one of only three true canyons in the State of Iowa, as they point out the geological formations that date back 450 million years ago – even if you have explored Whitewater Canyon before you are sure to learn something new about this beautiful landscape!
Together we will wander through caves, forests, and prairies – stopping along the way to enjoy a variety of small dishes and drinks that were inspired by and made with plants, fruits, mushrooms, herbs, and nuts that were all sustainably collected from the Dubuque area.
This event is a true sensory experience that will allow you to connect with nature in a fun and unique way – enjoying the sights and tastes of the landscape. So grab a friend and get your appetite ready for this one-of-a-kind culinary excursion!
The event is hosted in partnership between Dubuque County Conservation, City Girl Farming, and Taproot Apothecary.
