Let's Walk - Walk for Wellbeing around Tring Reservoirs and Marsworth Canals
Tuesday 24th June at 11.00am
Duration: 5 miles/2 hours
Start point and end: Marsworth/Startop’s End Reservoirs Car Park (Postcode HP23 4LJ; What3Words reprints.mulled.lanes) next to WatersEdge Café.
Car Park cost is £3 for 3 hours, £4 all day.
The walk, run by Canal & River Trust, will be led by volunteer walk leaders who are full of interesting information about the local area.
Please join us for a fun leisurely walk along the canal. You'll learn a lot and meet new people!
A led walk starting and ending at Marsworth/Startop’s End Reservoirs Car Park. We will walk up to the reservoirs and along the Grand Union canal. Along the way we will explain how the reservoir and canal system work, and hope that a boat or two comes along so we can see the canal lock operation. There’s also lots of birdlife.
There will be specific stops at Wilstone Reservoir bird hide and an introduction to the wildfowl locally.
We will have coffee at the end.
This walk is not suitable for children.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
WHAT WILL I NEED?
The great thing about walking is that you do not need any fancy equipment. Please just wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket if raining.
