Making the Most of Your Maturing Voice: Strategies and Exercises to Keep You Singing with Sandy

In this two-part workshop, we’ll explore the experience and science behind the aging voice, with a focus on hormonal changes and how they affect both male and female singers.

The first session will cover the physiological changes that can occur with age, along with the musical and emotional adjustments that can help us continue making music with joy and confidence. We’ll then move into vocal exercises and healthy singing practices designed to help mitigate, adapt to, and even embrace these changes.

Both sessions will be practical and interactive, with group activities and individual coaching. Participants will apply exercises and strategies directly to their own songs, addressing personal challenges and finding ways to keep their voices strong and expressive for years to come.

Please bring a lead sheet for a song you’d like to work on. We’ll use a brief excerpt from it to apply exercises and explore solutions tailored to your voice.
