Join us at Pegasus Books Downtown at 6:30pm on Tuesday, February 24th for a reading and talk with author and activist Kitty Stryker. We'll be hearing from and discussing her newest book, Love Rebels: How I Learned to Burn It Down Without Burning Out. Stryker will be joined in conversation with Sezin Devi Koehler, author of "Much Ado About Keanu: A Critical Reeves Theory".

In Love Rebels, Stryker shares her experience as an activist, street medic and relationship educator to help others pursue the important work while maintaining healthy relationships and without burning out. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing at the event. See you there!

About the Author: Kitty Stryker has been working on defining and creating a consent culture for over a decade. Based in Berkeley, CA, she is especially interested in bringing conversations about consent, critical thinking, and sustainable activism into everyday life. Kitty is an anarchist street medic, a social justice arcane trickster and a devoted cat mom.

Kitty edited Ask: Building Consent Culture, published by Thorntree Press in 2017. She authored Ask Yourself: The Consent Culture Workbook, released by Thornapple Press in 2023, and Say More: Consent Conversations for Teens in 2024. Love Rebels: How I Learned to Burn It Down Without Burning Out was released in October 2025.

About the Moderator:

Sezin Devi Koehler is a pop-culture writer whose work has been featured in the Daily Beast, Scalawag magazine, Black Girl Nerds, Certified Forgotten, Bitch magazine both in print and online, Teen Vogue, Shudder's The Bite, Horror Homeroom, Looper, Crooked Marquee, and many others. She currently writes for Entertainment Weekly's movies and television sections, and has published two indie horror novels.
