Get Ready! A school transition program at Dapto Library

A four-week program designed to help children and their parents/carers feel more confident about beginning kindergarten.

Who this is for: Children starting kindergarten in 2026 and their parent or carer

Format: Weekly sessions held across four weeks

Dates: Friday 5, 12, 19 and 26 September | 10-11am

Starting school is a big milestone, and it is natural to have questions.

Get Ready! is a four-week program designed to help children and their parents feel more confident about beginning kindergarten. Each session includes stories, games and hands on activities that support school readiness skills, including routines, social confidence and resilience. This program is also an opportunity for carers to connect with others who are going through the same transition and to share support in a welcoming environment.

Bookings are essential and both child and carer must attend together. Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions.
