Baroque Improvisation for Jazz Musicians with Ben Stolorow and Bryan Bowman

Join Ben Stolorow and Bryan Bowman for a unique workshop that explores improvisation techniques rooted in Baroque music and how they can be applied to jazz. Drawing connections between historical and modern practices, the session will cover concepts such as guide tones, figuration, sequences, and rhythmic variation. Participants will gain insight into how these techniques support both structured and spontaneous musical expression. Fluency with major scales and a basic understanding of voice leading and counterpoint are recommended.
