Join us to celebrate the first release on Vibrant Matter, the debut album from ‘To you they are birds, to me they are voices in the forest’, out on cassette and digital on 09. may 2025.
‘To you they are birds, to me they are voices in the forest’ is the latest project from Daiyen Jone Castro and Knut Jonas Sellevold. The duo explores improvised, imaginary landscapes in the hinterland between sound, music and nature through field recordings, live electronics, flute, voice and percussion.
The album was recorded live in their studio at Bergen Kjøtt in June, 2024, with the duo improvising alongside field recordings made in Ringerike, Hardanger in May, 2024.
For this album launch Daiyen and Knut will play a special live set followed by DJs until close.
The cassette will be available for purchase on the night.

Bergen Kjøtt Bar (1. floor) has access from street level, welcomes service dogs and has toilet facilities available for all genders which are wheelchair accessible. All doors and corridors have a width of min. 110 cm). Companions have free admission, and can register in advance of the event.
