On the evening of Friday 23 May, we’ll be running a navigational scatter rally in/around the Shotley Peninsula, just outside of Ipswich, starting and finishing at the Shotley Rose pub.
Scatter rallies are sociable events suitable for all ages and no previous experience is required! These are a great entry point into navigational rallying or simply a fun night out with friends & family.
Competitors will be given 15 – 20 points to plot on a map, with a clue or question to solve at each point. Unlike treasure hunts and 12 car rallies, it is completely up to the team to decide which points they’d like to visit and they can choose whichever route they like. The first car will start at 8pm, and crews will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to plot their route, visit the locations and solve the clues.
Any road-going car may be used. Please ensure that the car and crew are insured as required by the Road Traffic Act and that the vehicle is currently taxed, and has a valid MOT certificate if required by law.
Maps will be provided to all crews. Crews will need to bring pencils, eraser, paper, clipboard, torch, map roamer. ECMC has some map roamers that can be lent out if you do not have one – please let us know if you’d like to borrow one of ours.
We hope to see you there!
